Monday April 2 finishing Prufrock

In class: quiz on pronouns / figurative language terms.
Finishing up Prufrock.  Make sure you continue to take copious notes. For homework: write your reflections / comments / connections / observations on the left hand side. Do not forget the summary information at the end. These should be more in depth thoughts on that sythesize / analsyze what you have written.  The will be collected tomorrow in class. We'll also take the time for you to bring up any thoughts or questions you might have on the poem. Check last week's blog for review of Cornell notes.

On Wednesday and Thursday you will be writing an analytical essay on T. S. Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.  You will use your notes and a fresh copy of the poem. You will need to quote from the text to prove your point.  Heads up; the question is on the theme of paralysis.
