As I shared last week, several English III classes have been selected by the state for a practice Regents exam. This is required and will take place this Wednesday and Thursday. As with any formal exam, you will need both a pen and pencil.
Originally, we were to finish up with Catcher in the Rye on those days. This is what will happen
instead: On Wednesday at the beginning of class, I will collect the thematic graphic organizers. (passed out last Thursday) This will count as a writing grade and will demonstrate that you have completed and understood the novel, which incidentally must be completed by tomorrow. (plan on an assessment, albeit a creative one!) Do not use any supportive quotes more than once. You will loose points. Next Tuesday and Wednesday, May 29 and May 30, you will use the thematic and red hat graphic organizers to write your last analytical essay of the marking period.
At that point I'll pass out your take-home final exam. In class we will be reading / watching ????
