In class essay: MLA format, grading on content, style and language conventions.

One of the central ideas of this novel is Holden Caulfield’s curious, conflicted relationship with adolescence and adulthood. Standing on the threshold between the two, Caufield negotiates neither successfully. Discuss in detail three different experiences Holden has with other people in the novel and the corresponding theme that is reflected within this encounter. Please include one supporting quote for each. Finally, what person insight comes to  Holden as he watches Phoebe on the carrousel?
